The Opportunity:
DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience for remote collaboration.
In this role you will
- Improve and maintain (mostly) AWS-based infrastructures
- Implement security practices across product
environments and internal systems - Create, maintain and improve the CI/CD processes
and software across the engineering department - Envision and enforce practices and processes
around product deployments and development processes - Monitor performance and errors across product environments
- Create alerting processes for performance
and or error events in product environments - Advise the engineering team on infrastructural improvements
- Manage all build and deploy tools, and oversee all deployments
- Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available
- Implement detection and alerting of anomalous behaviors
- Work with internal “customers” including the product team,
developers, architects, product owners, and QA to understand their
platform needs and build software tools to enable developer productivity - Work with the team to take operational responsibility
for their services and to establish processes
and monitoring which drives incremental improvement. - Experiment with new tools, techniques, and practices
to improve our process, infrastructure, and platforms - Create and maintain documentation
We are looking for
- Proficiency with CI systems such as
Jenkins, GitLab CI, or TeamCity - Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go, …)
- Reasonable understanding of network protocols
- Strong background in Linux fundamentals
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud technologies
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in both
English and Serbian language - Willingness to continually learn new technologies
- Passionate about DevOps methodology,
SRE and security best practices - 5+ year hands-on experience automating infrastructure
in a cloud environment, preferably Amazon Web Services - Experience in deployment automation,
using tools such as Terraform or Ansible - Experience with Docker containers (k8s a plus)
- It is very desirable to have working experience with NixOS
